INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION & OPERATION OF
"TRANSPOWER" BEVEL GEAR OPERATORS

1. The Gear Operators are manufactured & supplied as per the DATA-SHEET filled in by the customer.

2. The operators are of `External-screw-mounting' type & the mounting holes are provided as per the data sheet.

3. Installation instructions :

a. Ensure that the correct gear operator is being assembled on the valve.

b. Check the valve spindle dimensions & ensure they match with the gear operator being assembled on it.

c. Bring the valve to intermediate position.

d. Mount the gear operator on the valve by lowering it on the mounting flange of the valve. It is advised to use a chain-pully block for the purpose.

e. The gear operator should fit smoothly on the valve without any jams & jerks.

f. Match the mounting holes on the valve flange & the gear operator & gradually tighten down all the bolts. Ensure smooth running of the operator by rotating the handwheel while the mounting bolts are being tightened.

g. Check the gear operator functioning by fully opening & closing of the valve.

h. The gear operators are lubricated with multi-purpose-special grease (Servo Gem- EP2) before despatch . For normal operating conditions, it may need refilling after about two year.
